“If you’re looking for someone to do a newborn/family photoshoot, Sian is your woman! She was absolutely incredible, so patient with us and our crazy toddler. Genuinely couldn’t be more happy with our photos and could not believe how many we got - we are so very lucky to always have these photos with our boys. It certainly will not be the last time we use Sian. Thank you so so much”

FAQs
When is the best time to have a newborn session?
The ideal time is within the first 7-10 days, this is also my favourite time to capture babies. They tend to be very sleepy and chilled making it much easier for posing. However there is nothing stopping you from having a newborn session after 10days, it just means your baby will be a little more alert and more awake. I fully appreciate that every labour is different and sometimes its not possible to do a shoot that quick after birth, so whenever you wish to book your baby in for their first ever shoot, whether thats 7 days, 14, or 5/6 weeks - it will still be the most precious and beautiful shoot yet.
Can dogs be part of the session?
YES YES YES! I love dogs, small or big, 1 or 5… bring them along
What should my baby wear?
Newborns are so tiny, I imagine you have millions of new adorable outfits and yet none of them completely fit. I tend to say less is more in a newborn shoot.
Neutral outfits work well, simple baby grows and vests.
Wooly hats, knitted clothes, nappy covers.
My biggest suggestion - skin shots! I can't ever do a newborn session without having a section just skin on skin. They're too beautiful and timeless. I know its a little nerve racking the idea of being so exposed but I promise, its completely timeless and tasteful. Those intimate images that you’ll cherish forever.
Do you photograph twins?
ABSOLUTELY!!! I’ve been fortunate to photograph many twins over the years and also triplets. How could I say no? Thats double the cuteness.
Whats the best time for a newborn session?
This is very dependant on your routine, when baby tends to feed or sleep - every baby is different. Some prefer morning, some later in the day. When booking your session I make sure to plan around you.
Where at home do you recommend for the photos?
Rooms with the best light, big windows or light decor. I love photographing on the beds as I find its a great blank canvas. I’d always recommend putting a plain duvet cover on and ideally a light colour. The lounge is always a great place, being snuggled up on the sofa is winning shot.
